The Doctor Behind the Clinic
Dr. Smriti Bharti completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, Bangalore — one of India’s most respected dental institutions — graduating in 2014 after a rigorous five-year program that included a full year of hands-on clinical internship. From her very first day in practice, she chose to work close to patients.
Her early years in a private dental clinic in Bihar gave her something that no classroom can teach: the ability to manage a wide spectrum of patients across age groups, pain thresholds, anxiety levels, and oral health conditions. She learned to be calm when patients were frightened. She learned to listen before she treated.
In 2017, she brought that grounded, patient-first approach to Bangalore’s JP Nagar, where she spent six years building a reputation as a dentist whose patients returned not because they had no choice, but because they wanted to. Patients who had avoided the dental chair for years found themselves genuinely at ease in her clinic. Word spreads the way it always does when care is real — quietly, through families, friends, and colleagues.
In 2023, Dr. Smriti took the most deliberate step of her career; she founded Smile Stories Dental Clinic in Whitefield, Bangalore to build a space where every person who walked in could receive the same quality of dental care she would want for her own family. A space where technology meets gentleness. Where clinical precision meets unhurried conversation.
